Bio & Contact

I am a journalist from Montenegro based in Trieste. I have been working as a correspondent from Italy of the Montenegrin daily Vijesti since 2010, covering Italy-Montenegro relations, including key investments by Italian companies in the Montenegrin energy sector and the ongoing trial for 1990s sigarette smuggling in Bari.

I contribute to ANSA Nuova Europa portal, and am a visiting journalist at the Central European Initiative (CEI).

I have been working as a freelance journalist since 2005, publishing articles, photo and video reportages on topics ranging from cultural heritage “on sale” in Montenegro to Nazi camp survivors in Munich and waste trafficking in Italy. My collaborations include a number of international outlets focusing on the Balkan region such as Balkan Insight, Transitions Online, ANSA and others.

I was a Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) Fellow for Journalistic Excellence in 2009. I have a degree in Journalism from the University of Florence. I am fluent in English, Italian and Montenegrin (Serbo-Croatian).
